Many services have their own conventions: plumbers bill a service call, consultants a retainer, caterers a service charge. See the trade templates for plumbing, consulting, cleaning and more on the invoice templates page.
Frequently asked questions
What is a service invoice?
An invoice for work done rather than goods sold. It lists the services, when they were provided, and what the client owes.
Are services taxable?
It depends where you are. Many US states tax few services; some tax many. Check your state, and leave the tax rate at 0% if yours aren’t taxed.
