Invoicing studios and private clients
Studios usually pay a flat rate per class, sometimes plus a per-student bonus above a set attendance. List each class or give the dates and count. Private clients pay per session or per package; corporate classes usually carry a higher rate that includes travel. Send studios one invoice a month, and private clients one per package. If you sell packages in advance, show the sessions used and remaining.
Frequently asked questions
Should I invoice the studio or get paid through payroll?
That depends on whether the studio treats you as an employee or a contractor. Contractors invoice; employees are paid through payroll.
How should I bill class packages?
Invoice the package upfront, then note sessions used on each visit or on the next invoice.
Do I charge for cancellations?
Many teachers charge the full rate for private sessions cancelled within 24 hours. Put the policy in the notes.
