Estimating countertops
Measure the square footage of each section, then price by material and level (color group). Add edge profiles beyond the standard, cutouts, full or 4-inch backsplash, and removal. Say that the final price is set after templating, when exact dimensions and seams are known. Sinks and faucets are usually supplied by the customer.
Frequently asked questions
Quartz or granite: which costs more?
They overlap; price depends on the level and slab more than the material type.
Why can the price change after templating?
Exact measurements, seams and slab layout may differ from the rough estimate.
Who disconnects the plumbing?
Often a plumber hired separately. Say whether you include it.
