Flat-rate plumbing quotes
Most service plumbing is quoted flat rate from a price book: the customer approves a price per job before you start. Name the fixtures and equipment, say what the price assumes (accessible shutoffs, standard connections), and exclude what you can’t see. For repipes, sewer lines and remodels, give an estimate first.
From accepted quote to invoice
A quote is a fixed offer: once the client accepts it in writing, by signing it or replying to say yes, both sides are bound by its price and scope. Keep the accepted copy. When the work is done, open the quote in the free quote maker and switch it to Invoice, or start from the plumbing invoice template. Anything the client added later goes on its own line.
Frequently asked questions
Quote or estimate for plumbing?
Quote flat-rate service work you can see; estimate jobs behind walls or underground.
Should the service call fee be included?
Say whether it’s included in the quoted price or charged separately.
Who supplies fixtures?
Either. If the customer supplies them, say your warranty covers labor only.
