Fixed-price electrical quotes
Common jobs, such as chargers, panels, lighting, outlets and fans, quote well as fixed prices from your price book. Name the equipment and its location, the circuit size and run length the price assumes, and what happens if conditions differ. Include the permit and inspection, and your license number. For troubleshooting and old houses, give an estimate instead.
From accepted quote to invoice
A quote is a fixed offer: once the client accepts it in writing, by signing it or replying to say yes, both sides are bound by its price and scope. Keep the accepted copy. When the work is done, open the quote in the free quote maker and switch it to Invoice, or start from the electrician invoice template. Anything the client added later goes on its own line.
Frequently asked questions
Quote or estimate for electrical work?
A quote when the scope is clear and visible; an estimate when you can’t see what’s behind the walls.
Should materials be listed separately?
For fixed-price jobs you can include them in the price, but name the brand and model so the customer knows what they’re getting.
Who pulls the permit?
Usually the licensed electrician. Show the cost on the quote.
