Quoting lawn care for a season
Price mowing per visit from the lawn size, obstacles and how long it takes, and multiply by the expected number of visits. Quote cleanups and treatments as fixed prices. Offer a seasonal contract: steady work for you and a predictable bill for the customer. Say how you handle rain days, skipped weeks during droughts, and overgrown grass.
Applying fertilizer or weed control may require a pesticide applicator license in your state. Bill the season with the lawn care invoice template.
From accepted quote to invoice
A quote is a fixed offer: once the client accepts it in writing, by signing it or replying to say yes, both sides are bound by its price and scope. Keep the accepted copy. When the work is done, open the quote in the free quote maker and switch it to Invoice, or start from the lawn care invoice template. Anything the client added later goes on its own line.
Frequently asked questions
Should lawn care be billed per visit or monthly?
Either. Monthly billing for visits completed is common; some companies spread the season into equal monthly payments.
What if the grass is overgrown on the first visit?
Quote a higher first-cut price, or say that overgrown lawns are charged at an hourly rate.
How do I price a lawn I haven’t seen?
Use satellite maps to measure it, then confirm on the first visit.
